Snowflakes

Nope. I'm not going to talk about the very first snow in Glasgow when I was too tired from work and missed the picture session outside JBC. Nor the second time when it snowed so heavily but I could only catch a glimpse of it through the distant window while busy serving the never-ending queue. And when Glaswegians were busy building snowman out there in the heaviest snowfall to date, I was busy catching a train to the disneyland in Paris.

It never snow at the right timing, doesn't it. It was the day to spend in disneyland somemore. Double sweat! (Nah, don't be deceived by my fascinated look in the picture, it was a very bad day. =S)

Anyway, back to the topic, my drug has been successfully crystallised! The molecules stacked neatly in the lattice to form the shape of snowflake. Yes, snowflakes in the lattice wth. What-a-coincidence-in-the-season. What fascinated me more is that his eyes were gleaming when he was showing me the 3D diagram. As though a child saw a candy shop full of colourful lollipops. Okay, bad analogy. But imagine that, he looked solemn and very different from normal when I stepped into his room but the next moment eyes sparkled when explaining about the snowflakes. Great way to cheer a research supervisor up isn't it. =D

His gleaming blue eyes and Australian accent just caught me mesmerised. Damn. What am I thinking.

D(H)aunted.

Looking at the completed presentation slides, I guess I have been thinking so highly of myself previously. *Shake head* The jargons which I thought could give a clearer picture to the case I am presenting are just too many. Too many to be digested in (a) day(s). Deciphering the jargons is daunting enough let alone explaining to audience who may have deeper understanding than me. I now shudder at the thought of being bombarded with questions which could left me stupified at the spot. Bearing in mind that the most-avid-question-er is in my group! Double thumbs up!

Sigh.

Confession

of a caffeine junkie.

Caffeine from coffee beans, particularly.

The only beverage that I can count on to kickstart my day.

Or keep me motivated whenever I'm stuck.

Call it a placebo effect.

Because it can no longer keep me awake no matter how much I drink. =S

And it has its effects similar to drinking a hot cup of milk before sleep.

But still,

I drink it around the clock.

What's more,

how to resist a nice mug of pleasingly aromatic coffee! =D

It's been awhile (it was last year) since the last time I signed in. Lol. Been hibernating! It's winter, for God's sake. And the weather is just too merciful to allow me to hit the snooze again and again. Even the false alarm that punctually yell in the early Wednesday morning couldn't wake me up. Maybe I should set a new year resolution which sounds like erm sleep less? =S

Oh forget about it. I'll never keep my resolutions. Haha.

Oh maybe yes.

Gosh. I'm darn indecisive.

Ok, I guess the first thing I should work on is my indecisiveness instead of resolutions. There goes my resolutions! Hehe.
